Tombstone (1993)

Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliot better than the Kevin Costner Wyatt Earp. Nice bit play by Dana Delany and what may be the last time Charlton Heston made the big screen in a cameo. A herd of  B stars like Billy Bob Thorton and Powers Boothe are also along for the ride. Apparently this version  of the famous shootout at the OK corral is the closest to being historically accurate. With $55 million box it ranks number 12 boxoffice for Westerns, but did not rustle the critics. As I am a western fan I really enjoyed it, if its not your genre, take a pass pardner.

Three Stars
