Really a terrific spin on a genre I will not identify for obvious reasons. Aside from Denzel Washington and Eva Mendes no names here. But the stars shine in this movie. Surprisingly the director Carl Franklin has not created a superstar track record and has moved on to TV miniseries (The Pacific) and network TV (Falling Skies).Both hardly outstanding. Out of Time is an extremely well directed movie spinning a web of circumstance so artfully you can feel the pressure. A very simple movie that moves, one of my favorites.
